This HOYMAbit at Sædis’ house is featuring a performance by Hanus G. Johansen (born 18 June 1950 in Klaksvík) also known as Hanus G.
Hanus, a folk music singer songwriter is considered something of a living legend by the locals. He earned his Faroese fame because of his immensly popular songs based on poems by Poul F. Joensen (1898-1970). Hanus has released several albums, toured in all the Nordic countries, played and toured with classical ensemble Aldubáran and with the Faroese folk pop band Frændur, but mostly he is known for his solo performances captivating both small and large crowds. Hanus has performed G! Festival, Summarfestival, HOYMA and many other events in the Faroes.
After the concert we will be served home made traditional and local food tasters, prepared and served by Karl Gregersen. Local beer, water, coffee and home made dessert.
There will be a chance to chat and to visit Sædis’ glass workshop and see her art.
